Bio

Xuanyi Wang

I often paint works that reflect a feminine subject matter or theme. I grew up as a woman in a traditional Chinese family. The traditional role of a woman in Chinese culture is engrained in me. Since I came to the United States, the culture of the west has also started to have a deep impact on me. Consequently, in my images, I express the experiences and stories of women in two different social environments.
