About

I am a Chinese painter living in the U.S.A., working mostly in oil on canvas. I grew up in a Chinese family and was formed by traditional Chinese culture. In the Chinese traditional, we use “Yin and Yang” to explain “all the things are relative”, the seemingly contradictory concepts sometimes coexist.

My artwork involves figures, landscapes, and still life. The art works focus on to the rich capacity of details and the depiction of the paintings. The materials are based on photos, sketch from life, and subjective collages, using traditional painting techniques to express real and illusion things. The realistic works allows the audience to question the authenticity of the work while feeling the authenticity of the work. Reality and illusory coexist at the same work, the arts are challenge the audience to imagination based on their own experiences.
